Abstract
Current developments in white-collar crime involve a change in theoretical approach towards opportunity and choice perspectives, an increasing focus on the psychology of white-collar crime, research centred on the impact of white-collar crime in the global financial crisis, and ongoing investigation into the use of neutralisations and accounts by white-collar offenders. The debated topics encompass the effectiveness of various regulatory approaches in managing white-collar crime, the relationship between gender and white-collar crime, and the suitability of low self-control theory in explaining white-collar criminals.
